Mohbad’s wife raises alarm over threat from singer’s uncle

Date:

Wife of late music star, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, Omowunmi, has raised the alarm over an alleged threat from the late singer’s uncle, Ayodele Famuyiwa.

In an Instagram post, Omowunmi had accused Famuyiwa of bullying and threatening her and her son, Liam, for over 15 months.

She wrote, “Ayodele Famuyiwa, my father-in-law’s Power of Attorney and spokesperson, for over 15 months, you have bullied me. You have dragged my name through the mud. You have spoken the most awful things about me. You have cursed my son. You have threatened me. And now, you are on TikTok openly threatening to harm me and my child.”

Omowunmi further alleged that Famuyiwa had sworn that Liam would never inherit his father’s royalties. She called on the public to hold him accountable should anything happen to her or her son.

Describing the allegations as false and an attempt to misrepresent his stance, Famuyiwa, in a statement, maintained that he had never threatened Omowunmi nor her son.

He claimed to have only advised her to stop spreading claims that Mohbad’s father was fighting over his late son’s assets.

The statement read, “As an uncle to Mohbad, I want to categorically state that I have never bullied you or your son, as you have falsely claimed. What I have consistently said is that you should stop spreading the narrative that your father-in-law is fighting you and your son over Mohbad’s property.

“If a DNA test confirms that the child is Mohbad’s, then, he is entitled to 100 per cent of his father’s property.

“However, if the DNA result proves otherwise, that does not automatically erase the child’s connection to Mohbad, but such matters will be addressed at the right time.”
