Actress Funke Akindele has urged fans to help push her latest movie, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa,’ to a new box office milestone of ₦ 2 billion.
Funke confirmed in a video released on her X account on Saturday that she does not receive the entire ₦1.8 billion from the film’s success.
She stated that cinemas, tax officials, and distributors all receive a portion of the revenue.
Jokingly, she intimated that she could be pleased when the film crosses ₦2 billion, encouraging her supporters to continue supporting it in cinemas.
“I beg no be only me get the 1.8billion o!!! Cinema go collect, tax go collect, distributor go collect!!!! Maybe when I get to 2Bnaira, I fit settle. So pls go see #eljthemovie in cinemas and take us to 2billion naira. Thank you,” she wrote.
