Olamide unveils star-studded tracklist for new album “Olamidé”

Date:

Nigerian music star and YBNL head honcho, Olamide Adedeji—popularly known simply as Olamide—has shared the tracklist for his much-anticipated album Olamidé, set to drop on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

The upcoming 17-track album showcases the rapper’s remarkable ability to bring together an eclectic mix of artists from both the Nigerian and international music scenes. Collaborators on the project include Nigerian stars Wizkid, Asake, Seyi Vibez, Young Jonn, BOJ, and Darkoo.

The album also features contributions from global music heavyweights like U.S. hip-hop legend Dr Dre, Jamaican dancehall artist Popcaan, British-Nigerian vocalist Daecolm, and internationally acclaimed DJ SPINALL.

“Big thanks to every beautiful soul that made this possible!!! #OLAMIDÉ Out 19th of June. Wabillahi Taofeek,” Olamide wrote on Instagram, accompanying the announcement with the full tracklist and cover art.

Previously released tracks ‘Kai’ and ‘99’ will appear on the album. The former, released on April 29, 2025, reunites Olamide with Wizkid—marking their first musical collaboration since 2011’s chart-topping hit, Omo To Shan.

Notably, Wizkid features twice on the new project, reaffirming the creative chemistry between the two artists.

The recent release of ‘99’, which features Asake, Seyi Vibez, Young Jonn, and Daecolm, gave fans a preview of the album’s vibrant and energetic sound. The track, produced by Willis, has already received critical and commercial attention.

Asake’s involvement in the project is particularly significant given recent rumours about a potential fallout between him and Olamide, following Asake’s departure from YBNL to establish his own label, Giran Republic, earlier this year. His presence on the album suggests that their professional rapport remains intact.

Additional tracks include Billionaires Club, Free, Indika, Stronger, and Rain. Emerging talents Muyeez and FXRTUNE also make guest appearances, highlighting Olamide’s continued commitment to nurturing rising stars.

Olamidé will be Olamide’s 11th solo studio album and comes on the heels of his 2023 release, Ikigai, which featured fan favourites such as Metaverse, Hello Habibi, and Uptown Disco—the latter featuring Fireboy and Asake.

Before Ikigai, he delivered other acclaimed projects like UY Scuti, Carpe Diem, and the collaborative EP Unruly. Over the years, Olamide has proven not just his staying power but also his talent for discovering and mentoring successful artists like Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Fireboy, and Asake under the YBNL banner.
