The Ogun State Police Command has rejected Portable’s claims of undergoing psychiatric treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Aro, Abeokuta.
Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, declared himself a ‘madman’ in a video on Tuesday, stating he’s receiving treatment at the hospital.
However, the police insist that he’s a wanted man and must turn himself in for investigation.
According to Omolola Odutola, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Portable’s claims of being in treatment are unacceptable.
She stated “Portable will come and submit himself. He can’t be in the psychiatric hospital in Aro. Everybody knows that he is a wanted person.”
The controversy surrounding Portable began after he allegedly led a gang of thugs in a violent attack on three government officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Nine accomplices were arrested, but Portable fled the scene and has been in hiding ever since.
