Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has opened up about his feud with Zlatan Ibile, calling him a ‘bad friend’ to both him and the late singer, Mohbad.
In a recent interview on the EchoRoom podcast, the singer criticized Zlatan’s behavior towards Mohbad, specifically his decision to post a video of Mohbad being attacked by Sam Larry without speaking out against the incident.
Portable also accused Zlatan of trying to use his ‘grace’ for his own benefit, and questioned his musical talent, saying that people may know Zlatan’s face but not his songs.
Portable said “He is a bad friend. He was a bad friend to Mohbad and he was a bad friend to me. That is Zlatan. Zlatan is an upcoming artiste. People know Zlatan’s face, but they do not know his songs.
“There is a man I usually buy cars from. When I went to change my car for my birthday, he told me that I should not even have answered Zlatan, that he just wanted to use my grace. I told him that I did not really know his songs.
“There are artistes that are very wealthy, yet no one knows the lyrics of their songs. May God rest Mohbad’s soul, he was a good singer; they deceived him before they killed him and they can’t do that to me.
“I did not say that it was Zlatan who deceived him, but there is something he did that was very bad. Why did he post where Sam Larry went to attack Mohbad, but it was later found out that he was present? Why did he not stand against them?”
This isn’t the first time Portable has spoken out against Zlatan, as he previously accused him of causing a strain in his relationship with Davido in June 2024.
Portable’s allegations against Zlatan include claims that he advised Davido to be cautious around him, which led to a rift between them.
Portable has been open about his feelings towards Zlatan, calling him out for his perceived wrongdoings and questioning his character.
The feud between Portable and Zlatan has been ongoing, with both artists making public statements against each other.
