A firearm was reportedly located near her body, raising concerns about the nature of her death.

Authorities investigating the case suspect suicide, although no official confirmation has been made. Coroner Grant Davies was quoted by The Sun saying police had “deemed the death as non-suspicious… there was no third-party involvement.

”Rosie Roche was a granddaughter of Princess Diana’s uncle, making her a relative of the Princes through their maternal side. At the time of her death, she was preparing for a trip with friends.

A student at Durham University, Rosie was studying English Literature and had been described by those close to her as a bright and loving young woman.

In an obituary published by The Yorkshire Post, she was remembered as an “incredible sister” to her two siblings.

Her family noted that a private funeral and memorial will be held.

Rosie was only 20 years old.
