Sarah Martins apologizes to Davido over restaurant comment mix-up

Date:

Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins, has issued a public apology to Davido after the afrobeats star called her out for a comment about him supposedly opening a restaurant in his wife Chioma’s name.

Martins had suggested that registering the restaurant under Chioma’s name would be a great promotional strategy for his ‘5ive’ album, given her culinary skills.

However, Davido clarified in the comment section that he never opened a restaurant, contradicting Martins’ claims.

Hours later, Martins took to Instagram to apologize, admitting she was misled by someone’s post about receiving food from ‘Davido’s restaurant’. She explained that she jumped to conclusions without verifying the information.

Martins said “If you know me very well, you can tell that I am a die-hard fan of Davido and Chioma. I will never intentionally disrespect either Davido or Chioma. I was actually misinformed by what Temi posted that Davido gifted him food from Davido’s restaurant.

“So, I just jumped to a conclusion. I am really sorry. I am really sorry for getting on your nerves. To the extent that you had to enter my DM to caution me.

“OBO, I am your number one fan. I am your die-hard fan. Nobody loves you more than I love you. I swear. They nearly brought down my page because I was busy defending you online. Forgive me. This is coming from a place of love.”
