TG Omori returns to set months after kidney transplant

Date:

Nigerian music video director, ThankGod Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, is back to work, just a few months after a failed kidney transplant.

He shared the exciting news on his X page, posting a photo of himself on set, camera in hand, with the caption ‘Ok, let’s see if I can still rock this b***h’.

Fans and celebrities flooded the comments, thrilled to see him back in action.

Omori’s health journey has been a challenging one. In August 2024, he underwent a kidney transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, with his brother donating the kidney.

Unfortunately, the transplant was unsuccessful, and Omori has been battling kidney issues for over a year.

Despite the setbacks, Omori has shown remarkable resilience. He’s been recovering and determined to overcome his health challenges.

In fact, he assured fans that he’d make a comeback in 2025, and it looks like he’s staying true to his word.

Omori’s career has been on an upward trajectory since he started directing music videos at age 20.

Born in Cross-River state and raised in Lagos, he’s won numerous awards for his craft. It’s wonderful to see him back doing what he loves.
