Popular Nigerian socialite and entrepreneur, Mike Nwogu, better known as Pretty Mike, has sparked conversation online following a heartfelt message he shared on Instagram, urging women to prioritize kindness in their choice of life partners.
In a post on his Instagram reel, Pretty Mike called on ladies to marry men who are compassionate and genuinely care about their well-being.

He cautioned women against tying their lives to insensitive men who, according to him, would “move on in no time” if anything tragic were to happen.

“As a lady please marry a kind man, a man that can’t stand seeing you in pain,” he wrote. “If you die, these animals will move on in no time.”
Pretty Mike went on to recount a heartbreaking example of a woman who reportedly lost her life during childbirth because her husband refused to give consent for a caesarean section (CS), insisting she deliver “like the Hebrew women” — a reference to biblical narratives often misused in religious circles.

“Imagine a woman losing her life because her husband refused to sign the CS consent just because he wants his wife to deliver like the Hebrew women,” he added.
The post has since stirred reactions on social media, with many praising Pretty Mike for using his platform to raise awareness about the dangers of toxic masculinity and misplaced religious ideals in marital decisions.
Critics, however, argue that the message, though well-intentioned, may have been too harsh in its language.
Nonetheless, the core of Pretty Mike’s message remains clear — love alone is not enough; women must consider emotional sensitivity, empathy, and kindness as top criteria when choosing a life partner.
