Wizkid makes history with 20 billion global audio streams

Nigerian Grammy winning superstar, Wizkid, has become the first African artist to surpass 20 billion global audio on-demand streams.

According to international music monitoring platform, Chart Masters, the Grammy-winning singer’s impressive tally includes both his lead and feature songs.

Wizkid’s most streamed song is his feature on Drake’s hit single ‘One Dance’, which has racked up over 3.628 billion streams on Spotify. This song holds a Guinness World Record as the first to reach 1 billion streams on the platform.

Wizkid has received numerous accolades for his achievements, including the Brit Billion Award for surpassing 1 billion audio on-demand streams in the UK.

He is also the best-selling Afrobeats artist, with over 65 million units sold worldwide.

With this milestone, Wizkid cements his position as a global music icon, breaking barriers and pushing the boundaries of Afrobeats’ global reach.
