2026 WCQ: Chelle makes demand from Super Eagles players ahead of Rwanda clash

Date:

Eric Chelle, the Super Eagles’ head coach, has urged his players to concentrate on their 2026 World Cup qualifier against Rwanda, which takes place on Friday evening.

The Malian tactician wants the Super Eagles to overcome Rwanda in front of their home fans and take all three points.

Speaking to the media in a pre-match press conference on Thursday, Chelle said: “They also have a new coach, they want to win, and we also want to win. We are ready.

“I just want to be with my players; I want my players to focus on this game—only this game for now. After that, we will see the other games.

“We need to win this game. They are training hard, and they want Nigerians to be proud of them.”

The match between Rwanda and Nigeria will take place at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali at 5:00 pm Nigerian time.

Meanwhile, Nigeria is yet to win a game in the World Cup qualifiers in Group C.
