2027: I remain member of Labour Party, will run for President, says Peter Obi

Date:

Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has declared that he is still a member of the Labour Party (LP).

He spoke in Anambra while rallying support for the LP candidate ahead of the governorship election scheduled for November.

Obi is in Anambra to support George Moghalu, the Labour Party candidate in the election.

While addressing supporters during a campaign rally, Obi declared that he would also be contesting for the Office of the President.

Obi, who spoke in Igbo language also told his supporters that he is the most competent of all politicians who intend to contest for President.

He also assured his supporters that, contrary to rumors suggesting otherwise, he remains a member of the Labour Party and has no plans to leave.

“Others have a right to run for office. I have not asked anyone not to run for office, but if anyone asks you, tell them I am running for office, and I am the most competent amongst all,” Obi said.
