Meranda resigns as Speaker of Lagos Assembly

Mojisola Meranda has stepped down as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Meranda announced her resignation on Monday, March 3, during the ongoing plenary session.

In her statement, she explained that her decision to resign was a selfless sacrifice made in order to protect the integrity and stability of the legislative institution.
