The House of Representatives on Tuesday passed the four tax reform bills for their third reading, following their submission to the National Assembly in October 2024.
During a plenary session last Thursday, the House reviewed and approved the report presented by the House Committee on Finance, which had been working on the bills and incorporating feedback from various Nigerians.

These proposed reforms have sparked significant debate, with Northern leaders, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, and several other interest groups expressing opposition to certain provisions of the bills.
