The body of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, from the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport in Katsina.
This marks the final leg of his journey home, where he will be laid to rest today.
After a solemn military farewell at the Katsina airport, attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other top dignitaries, the motorcade carrying the late leader’s remains departed for Daura.

A mood of deep mourning and reverence has descended upon Daura, with heightened security measures in place.
The community, including groups of women offering prayers at his private residence, has been awaiting his arrival.
