Court remands 3 Lagos Assembly staff for alleged assault of DSS officers

Date:

A Federal High Court in Ikoyi has remanded three Lagos State House of Assembly employees for allegedly assaulting agents from the Department of State Services (DSS).

The court issued the order on Tuesday, with the arraignment scheduled for Wednesday.

Ibrahim Olanrewaju, Fatimoh Adetola, and Adetu Adekunle were accused with allegedly assaulting DSS personnel while on duty at the Assembly complex on February 17, 2025.

DSS accused them of recording, cyberstalking, and circulating false information online to undermine law and order in Nigeria.

When DSS counsel Michael Bajela approached the court for their arraignment, Justice Daniel Osiagor stated that he wanted to review the case file.

It should be recalled that DSS reportedly invaded the Assembly on Monday, 17 February, and took over the premises.
