The burial of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday afternoon in a London clinic, has been officially rescheduled for Tuesday, and will not take place today as initially reported.
The announcement of the postponement was made by Katsina State Deputy Governor Lawal Jobe to reporters on Monday afternoon.

Jobe had arrived at the Daura residence of the late former President by 11:27 AM today to inspect the designated burial site.
A presidential delegation, dispatched to repatriate Buhari’s body, arrived in London earlier this Monday morning.
The delay is understood to allow for the completion of necessary arrangements and the return of the presidential delegation with the former leader’s remains.
