Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has removed Professor Muhammad Sani Bello as Commissioner for Information and appointed Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki, the current Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), as his successor.
The announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, who confirmed that the appointment takes immediate effect.
Although no official reason was given for Bello’s removal, the statement recalled his earlier service as the pioneer Commissioner for Education under the current administration before his redeployment to the Ministry of Information.
