I’m most bullied widow in Nigeria – Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi

Date:

Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian music singer Mohbad, has claimed to be “the most bullied widow” in Nigeria.

She said that her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, is tormenting her and inciting others against her by seeking a DNA test for her son, Liam.

Speaking on TVC’s programme Your View, Omowunmi said, “I have nothing to hide. I don’t have an issue with my father-in-law asking me for a DNA test, but it’s the way he is going about it. Presently, I am the most bullied widow in Nigeria.”

She mentioned that she and her father-in-law were best friends before her husband’s passing. She emphasised that he was the one who pressured both her and her late husband into having a child when they weren’t ready, influencing them through fasting and prayer.

Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, and less than 24 hours after his tragic passing, his father, Joseph Aloba, buried him in Ikorodu, Lagos State. His body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy due to controversies surrounding his death.

The results of the autopsy are still pending, but the father of the deceased, Joseph Aloba, has previously stated that the singer’s body would only be reburied when the autopsy results are released and a DNA test is conducted on his grandson, Liam, to ascertain his true paternity.
