JUST IN: Obasa’s supporters flood Ikeja lodge, prepare for grand welcome

On Saturday morning, a large crowd of supporters gathered at the Ikeja Lodge of embattled former Lagos State Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, on Joel Ogunnaike Street, GRA Ikeja.

Donning pro-Obasa vests and caps, the group came together to demonstrate their unwavering support for the impeached leader.

According to reports, Obasa, who was recently removed from his post, was replaced by Mojisola Meranda, the former Deputy Speaker.

Since the impeachment, Meranda has presided over two legislative sittings in Obasa’s absence.

Obasa was out of the country when the impeachment took place, adding another layer of complexity to the already heated political situation.
The gathering at his Ikeja residence serves as a clear indication of his supporters’ determination to back him amid the ongoing political turmoil.
