The Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially appointed Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police (CP) for Lagos State Command.
The announcement was made by Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC spokesperson, in a statement issued on Monday afternoon.
Before this new role, CP Jimoh led the Port Authority, Eastern Ports Command, in Rivers State. His appointment follows a thorough interview process conducted earlier in the day by the Chairman and Commissioners of the PSC, including DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), former Supreme Court Justice Adamu Paul Galmuje, and DIG Taiwo Lakanu (rtd).
A seasoned officer from Kwara State, CP Jimoh brings a wealth of experience in police operations, administration, and strategic communications. His distinguished career includes various leadership roles, such as Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Airport Command, Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner for General Investigations.

His extensive training includes specialized courses both locally and internationally, such as the Combat Operations Course at the Mobile Training College in Maiduguri, the African Union Mission in Darfur, Sudan, and several other high-level security and law enforcement programs in countries including the United States, China, and South Korea.
Notably, CP Jimoh is a recipient of the prestigious Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to public relations in Nigeria.
As the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos, CP Jimoh is expected to bring his expertise and leadership to bear in enhancing security and police operations across the state.
