This defection boosts the APC’s representation in the 10th Senate to 68 members, while the PDP’s seats have decreased from 33 to 30.
The current breakdown of the Nigerian Senate now includes 68 APC senators, 30 from the PDP, five from the Labour Party (LP), two from the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and one each from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Additionally, two Senate seats remain vacant due to the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah (Anambra South) and the election of Senator Monday Okpebholo (Edo Central) as the new Governor of Edo State.
