Tinubu returns to Abuja Aater two-weeks working visit to France, Europe

President Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja on Monday night after spending over two weeks on a working visit to Europe.

His plane landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 9:50 p.m., where he was welcomed by senior government officials, including Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu; and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Tinubu had departed Nigeria on April 2, visiting Paris and London during the trip.

While in Europe, he remained actively engaged in national affairs, maintaining direct communication with top government officials and issuing key directives, particularly to the nation’s security chiefs.

During his time in Paris, the President held a strategic meeting with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor for Africa at the U.S. Department of State. Their discussion centered on strengthening bilateral ties, improving regional security, and supporting sustainable economic growth across Africa.

A major focus of the meeting was on collaborative efforts to secure lasting peace in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with both parties emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation and multilateral action.
