US President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he is withdrawing Joe Biden’s access to classified material and daily intelligence briefings, citing worries about the former president’s memory and potential national security dangers.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed Biden “set this precedent” in 2021 by prohibiting him from obtaining intelligence briefings generally provided to previous presidents.
He cited the special counsel’s findings on Biden’s handling of secret documents, which characterized him as having “poor memory.”
“There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information,” Trump wrote. “I will always protect our National Security — JOE, YOU’RE FIRED.”
