After much anticipation, Nigerian singer, Davido, has released his fifth studio album, ‘5ive’.

The 17-track project, which was initially slated for release on March 14, finally hit streaming platforms on Friday.

The album features a star-studded lineup of artists, including Jamaican singers, 450 and Shenseea; South African artist, Musa Keys; American musicians, Chris Brown and Becky G; and French singers, Tayc and Dadju.

The album also features Nigerian singers Victony, Chike, Odumodublvck, and Omah Lay. With a diverse range of collaborations, ‘5ive’ showcases Davido’s ability to blend different styles and genres.

The album includes tracks such as ‘5ive’, ‘Anything’, ‘Be There Still’, ‘CFMF’, ’10 Kilo’, ‘Offa Me’, ‘Don’t Know’, and ‘R&B’, among others.

Davido had previously released three tracks from the album, including ‘Be There Still’, ‘Awuke’ featuring YG Marley, and ‘Funds’.

In December 2024, Davido revealed that the album is a reflection of his personal journey, saying it is “my story, my truth and my growth”.

To promote the album, Davido embarked on a five-city tour across Europe and North America, starting on April 5.

With ‘5ive’, Davido continues his legacy as one of Nigeria’s most successful musicians. Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to fame in 2012 with his hit single ‘Dami Duro’.

Since then, he has released several successful albums, including ‘A Good Time’ (2019), ‘A Better Time’ (2020), and ‘Timeless’ (2023). ‘5ive’ is set to cement his position as a global music icon.
