Africa Magic, in collaboration with MultiChoice, has officially opened entries for the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), the prestigious event celebrating African film, television and entertainment excellence.

Executive Head of Content and Channels for MultiChoice West Africa, Busola Tejumola, announced in a statement on Monday that submissions are now open and would close on January 31, 2025.

Tejumola highlighted the AMVCAs as a platform that honours exceptional talent, creativity and innovation across the continent, spotlighting the best African storytellers, performers and production professionals.

Filmmakers, producers, production companies and creators are invited to submit films, made-for-television movies, or television series that were publicly screened or broadcast between December 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.

“The awards have become a beacon of excellence, celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of African storytelling. We are excited to once again open the doors for talented creatives across the continent to showcase their remarkable work to the world,” she said.

Tejumola said that the 11th AMVCA promised to be a spectacular celebration of African entertainment, giving talented creatives their flowers and creating unforgettable memories.

She explained that the event would be broadcast live on Africa Magic channels across the continent, bringing the glitz and glamour of the awards to millions of viewers.

“To enter your submissions and for more information and updates on the AMVCAs, visit https://www.africamagic.tv/AMVCA.

“Also, follow Africa Magic on social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @africamagic, to stay in the know,” she said.
