Mercy Aigbe loses phones as Iyabo Ojo offers reward

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, lost her two phones at the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s movie ‘Labake Olododo’ at Imax Cinemas in Lekki, Lagos, on Sunday, March 23. The phones were under the care of her assistant when they went missing.

A video circulating online shows Mercy Aigbe confronting her assistant about the loss, with many criticizing the assistant for being careless.

Iyabo Ojo took to the stage to appeal for the return of the phones, offering a financial reward to anyone who can help locate them.

Ojon said “We are looking for it. Please, who has seen it? I did not say anyone stole it. Please, if anyone sees a phone that is not theirs, I beg we will give you money.

“I will personally give you money please. Two phones at the same time, please. You can come to me, I will give you money. Just locate me, I promise I would give you money.”

The incident has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many expressing sympathy for Mercy Aigbe and criticizing her assistant for the loss.

Some have also highlighted the importance of the private data on the phones, which could be compromised if they fall into the wrong hands.

‘Labake Olododo’ is a historical drama that tells the story of a female warrior navigating complex power dynamics, love, loyalty, and leadership challenges.

The movie boasts an all-star cast, including Odunlade Adekola, Cute Abiola, Saheed Balogun, Yinka Quadri, Olumide Oworu, Scarlet Gomez, Broda Shaggi, Wunmi Toriola and Hafeez Oyetoro.
