Canon Olowolagba, the Anglican priest who was taken captive alongside his wife and two children, has been freed.
The family was abducted last Sunday on the Ise Akoko-Iboropa road, located in the Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The kidnappers had initially demanded a ransom of N10 million. As of the latest update, details surrounding their release remain unclear.
However, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, the commander of the state’s Amotekun Corps, confirmed their safe return on Saturday, simply stating, “The pastor and his family have been released.”
