Abia police dismiss officer over misconduct

The Abia State Police Command has officially dismissed Inspector Kufere Moses from the Nigeria Police Force following a disciplinary review. The officer, with service number AP/NO 338736, was removed from his duties as of February 21, 2025.

Previously assigned to Mopol 55 PMF Aba and stationed at the UBA Bank Guard in Aba, Inspector Kufere has been formally de-kitted.

All police gear and equipment were retrieved from him, as confirmed by Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, in a statement released on Wednesday evening.

The dismissal came after an internal investigation found the inspector guilty of “discreditable conduct and offences against discipline.”

The Abia State Police Command reiterated that this action reflects their ongoing efforts to uphold the integrity and discipline of the force.

“The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, reaffirms the Command’s zero tolerance for unprofessional conduct.

“He assures the public that the Command will not condone the activities of bad elements within the force. Under his leadership, the Command remains committed to the Inspector General of Police’s vision of ensuring a professionally competent, service-driven, rule-of-law-compliant, and people-friendly police force,” the statement concluded.
