Suspected cultists shot and killed a final-year Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic student.

The event happened early on Wednesday morning along Abuja Street in Ikot Osurua, the neighborhood where the institution is located.

Prince, a final-year student of computer science, has been identified as the victim.

The Akwa Ibom police spokesperson, Timfon John, told TheCable that the case was described as including cult discourse and robbery in the region.

According to him, the victim was assaulted while his companion was around.

According to John, an ongoing investigation has shown that the student was killed in the assault.

“The information at the command’s disposal is that it was a robbery and cultist operation.

Prince was said to have recently finished his final examinations and was getting ready to defend his project when he was murdered.
