The Delta State Police Command has arrested a man and his second wife following the tragic and mysterious deaths of three sisters in Oruhworun, Udu Local Government Area.
The sisters had visited their father’s home at the Delta Steel Company (DSC) Township, but were discovered dead under suspicious circumstances.
The girls, who lived separately from their father after the death of their mother, had returned to his residence after attending a birthday party.
The following morning, they were found foaming at the mouth, prompting concerns from the community. This shocking incident has left locals reeling, especially since it occurred less than a year after their mother’s passing.
Sources indicate that the girls’ father remarried shortly after their mother’s passing, and their stepmother was a close friend of their late mother.
This tragedy has sent waves of disbelief through the community, as questions about what happened continue to swirl.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Edafe Bright, confirmed the incident, stating, “We are treating this as a suspicious death and are exploring all angles. The public will be updated as we make progress.”

In a separate case, two Tiv youths from Benue State have been arrested in connection with the murder of an engineer hired to construct offices in Akwukwu-Igbo, the headquarters of Oshimili North Local Government Area.
The engineer, whose identity remains unknown, was allegedly killed in December 2024, with details of the crime only emerging after the arrest of the two suspects.
According to community sources, the suspects killed the engineer and buried his body in a shallow grave on a farm.
Delta State police disclosed the exhumation of the body and assured the public that efforts are underway to apprehend any other individuals involved in the crime.
