Man apprehended for allegedly defiling two teenage daughters in Lagos

Date:

State command agents have detained One Best Orji, a Lagos State resident, on suspicion of having an extramarital affair with his biological daughters.

According to information obtained, Orji’s wife filed a complaint at the Surulere police station after learning of her husband’s regrettable behavior, which led to the arrest.

She told the police that the alleged abuse of their two daughters, aged 14 and 12 had been happening for about a year before it was discovered this year.

She claims that she frequently leaves her husband in charge of the female children, particularly when she is heading to the market.

The mother, 28, told the police that one day she came home early from the market to see her husband having sex with their 14-year-old daughter in their bedroom.

She claimed to have learned that her husband had also been sexually abusing their 12-year-old daughter after confronting her to seek the truth.

When I was seventeen, I became pregnant and moved in with him. My daughter, who is now 14 years old, was born. The distraught mother told the cops, “My parents agreed to let us live together.”

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer CSP Benjamin Hundeyin verified Best Orji’s arrest.

According to him, the individual was charged with defilement under Section 137 of the Lagos State 2015 Criminal Law.

“The complainant alleged that her husband defiled their two daughters at the Surulere area, hence her report which led to the arrest of the suspect.

“Upon his arrest, a medical report was obtained from a Sexual Assault Referral Center (SARC). The suspect was subsequently arraigned on May 9, 2025 for defilement under Section 137 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015,” he added.
