Police apprehends 17-year-old for allegedly raping minor in Ogun

Date:

A 17-year-old teenager named Jamiu Adebayo has been arrested by Ogun State Police Command agents for allegedly raping his neighbor’s 8-year-old daughter in the Aregbe neighborhood of the state capital, Abeokuta.

This was revealed in a statement by Omolola Odutola, the police spokesperson.

She claimed that after luring the survivor into his parents’ living room and telling her to take down her panties, the suspect defiled her.

When her mother questioned her about what had happened, the survivor lied and claimed that a stick had caused the injury, which resulted in blood leaking from her private areas.

The survivor’s mother, Olabode, was quoted by Odutola as saying that she was out of town when neighbors called to report that her daughter’s privates were leaking blood.

“He also persuaded her to lie, claiming that a stick had caused the injury to her private parts.

“Detectives swiftly sprang into action and apprehended the suspect.

“A medical form has been issued to the victim and her mother for examination and reporting. Preliminary investigations are currently underway.”
