The Gombe State Police Command has arrested five teenagers suspected of fatally attacking a young man following a disagreement at a wedding.
The tragedy, which occurred in the bustling Pantami area, shocked the local community.
According to eyewitnesses, what began as a verbal quarrel swiftly developed into a physical brawl, ultimately leading in the victim’s untimely death.
The perpetrators, aged 16 to 19, were quickly apprehended by police following a tip from concerned citizens.
Confirming the arrests, the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahmud Abubakar, stated, “The suspects are in custody, and we have launched a comprehensive investigation. Justice will be served, and no perpetrator will go unpunished.”
