Ace Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has dropped a new single ‘Be There Still’, which is a dynamic blend of Afrobeat and contemporary sounds.
The song was released on Friday, and it’s part of his highly anticipated fifth studio album, “5IVE”, scheduled to drop on April 18.
‘Be There Still’ is an impressive production, featuring Marvey Muzique, DJ Maphorisa, and Black Culture as producers, with mixing handled by D-RO.
The song’s lyrics reflect Davido’s resilience, longevity, and relevance in the music industry, with lines like “Twelve years, I’m still on top” and “Anywhere money dey make, dem call me, I will be there still”.
Davido had previously released two singles, ‘Funds’ featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, and ‘Awuke’ featuring YG Marley, as part of the prelude to ‘5IVE’.
He describes ‘5IVE’ as a reflection of his “story, truth, and growth”, saying it’s “straight from the heart” and dedicated to “the dreamers, the go-getters, and everyone chasing what’s theirs.”
