Singers, Jaywon and Dammy Krane, have engaged in a war of words on social media over a comment made by Davido about the state of Nigeria’s economy.
The altercation started when Jaywon shared Davido’s old statement advising black Americans against relocating to Nigeria due to economic challenges.
Jaywon questioned why Davido’s critics were no longer speaking out, suggesting that Nigerians were their own biggest problem.
Dammy Krane responded by implying that Davido’s family contributed to Nigeria’s problems. He also slammed Jaywon for supporting Davido’s statement.
Dammy Krane wrote “FLOPIDO & his family are part of NIGERIA’s problems. Dem sef dey in power & na dem de distribute power.
“FLOPIDO said foreigners and investors shouldn’t come and invest in the nation, that the country is in Sh@mBL€S & you supporting RUBB!$H. Them go come for una, simply because you and FLOPIDO are not supporting people who are trying to come and make it better’ … btw if NIGERIA is better FLOPIDO FAMILY would stop making Monopoly money.
“Ps: JAY-LOST no worry … ICE go soon relocate you back to build country.”
Jaywon fired back, berating Krane for always complaining about others playing a negative role in his career. He also spoke out against online bullying, stating that the music industry was not for the weak.
Jaywon wrote “You dey curse me like say I owe your papa money. Every little thing, your career this, your career that and your father never had none.
“Some of my colleagues call me to chat about the current state of the industry and how I handle all the ranting and disrespect online. My response is always the same: today’s industry is not for the weak.
“Just look at the level of disrespect thrown at artists like Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and many others on social media. If you’re not prepared, you won’t last.
“They will always come for you, and the only real escape is to go offline but we can’t do that. This is our life, our craft, and no matter what, we will keep pushing forward!”
