The abductors of retired General Maharazu Tsiga, the former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), have demanded a ransom of N250 million for his release.
Gen Tsiga was kidnapped on Wednesday night after over 100 gunmen stormed his residence in Katsina State.
Rep. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, who represents Bakori/Danja federal constituency in Katsina, revealed that the attackers surrounded Tsiga’s home before breaking down doors. In a bid to understand their intentions, Gen Tsiga stepped outside and confronted the assailants, asking what they were after.
