A powerful explosion rocked the city of Jos on Tuesday morning, sending shockwaves through the surrounding neighborhoods.
The blast, which occurred around 10:30 AM near the busy Terminus Market area, has left the city in a state of panic. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a deafening explosion, followed by scenes of chaos as people scrambled to safety.
Initial reports suggest that multiple people were injured, with some sources speculating that there may be fatalities, though details remain unconfirmed.
The full extent of the damage is still unclear, but witnesses described widespread destruction and panic in the aftermath of the explosion.

“I was just a few meters away when I heard a massive bang,” said Gyang Buba, a local clothes vendor. “People were running in all directions, screaming in fear. It was a terrifying sight.”
Emergency responders, including police, fire crews, and ambulances, quickly arrived at the scene, working to secure the area and provide medical assistance.
As of now, the Plateau State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the explosion. The authorities are expected to release more information as investigations continue.
