Delta: Mother allegedly beats 15-year-old son to death over theft of N200

Date:

A Delta State mother allegedly beat her 15-year-old son to death after he stole N200.

The incident happened on Thursday at Obire Street, off Cemetery Road in Warri.

Some residents of the street, who spoke with Dailypost on the condition of anonymity, said the boy’s hands and legs were tied by his brother, and his body was cut apart with a hot knife.

“When she realized that her son was dying, she ran out and cried for assistance.”

“Unfortunately, before they arrived at the hospital, her son died,” a source added.

The insider also revealed that the woman had previously been banished from a nearby compound due to a contentious relationship with her neighbours.

The source also revealed that her late son hawked smoked fish for the mother before going on to do an apprenticeship in handset repair.

SP Bright Edafe, Delta Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), confirmed that no such event had been reported to the police.
