President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is back in Abuja following a two-nation diplomatic engagement with Saint Lucia and Brazil.
The international trip began on June 28, 2025, when the President departed Abuja for Saint Lucia as part of a broader outreach aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s diplomatic presence in underexplored regions.

During his four-day visit to Saint Lucia, President Tinubu held discussions with key national figures, including Governor-General Cyril Charles and Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre.
A notable highlight was his address to a joint sitting of the Saint Lucian Parliament, during which he also formalized a Technical Manpower Assistance agreement.
The pact facilitates the deployment of Nigerian experts—including educators, healthcare workers, and engineers—to support Saint Lucia and other Eastern Caribbean states under the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
Following the engagements in Saint Lucia, the Nigerian leader traveled to Rio de Janeiro to participate in the 17th BRICS Summit, held between July 5 and 7, 2025, representing Africa’s most populous country at the high-level global economic forum.
