Ghana’s President-elect, John Mahama, paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, at the Presidential Villa on Monday.
Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, shared the news in a post on X.com on Tuesday.
He stated, “The President-Elect of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama, paid a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his residence, Presidential Villa, State House yesterday.”
The visit comes shortly after President Tinubu congratulated Mahama on his victory in Ghana’s December 7 general election.
In a telephone call following Mahama’s win, Tinubu expressed confidence that his leadership would promote stability within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Tinubu also conveyed his eagerness to collaborate with Mahama’s administration to strengthen bilateral relations and drive development across the West African region.
