The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), South-West Zone, has ordered its members to halt operations along the Lekki-Epe corridor beginning Monday, June 16, 2025.
This directive, announced in a statement by the Zonal Chairman, Chief Oyewole Akanni, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan on Sunday, follows concerns over potential harassment tied to the enforcement of the Lagos State Government’s E-Call-up policy.

Akanni said the national leadership had earlier instructed members not to send trucks to load petroleum products via the corridor, citing unresolved issues surrounding the implementation of the N12,500 E-Call-up system introduced by the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation.
He lamented that efforts through stakeholder engagements—led by IPMAN and the National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO)—to find a reasonable solution had failed.
“The state government appears determined to proceed with the policy unilaterally, ignoring suggestions that would have protected the interests of our members,” Akanni said.
He urged all independent marketers to withdraw their depot representatives and truck drivers from the corridor until further notice.
“This action, and others that may follow, are aimed at safeguarding the interests of our members and the sustainability of their businesses,” the statement added.
