The system also enables applicants to schedule a date and time for a mandatory in-person appointment to complete their registration.
In addition to new registrations, the portal can be used to process requests for: Transfer of voting locations, Replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), Correction of personal information
INEC confirmed that the in-person phase of the CVR exercise will begin on August 25, 2025, at all 37 state offices and 774 local government area (LGA) offices nationwide.
The commission plans to expand the in-person registration to other designated centers later, contingent on a review of the exercise’s progress and the security situation.
The CVR is open to all new voters aged 18 and above. INEC issued a stern warning against multiple registrations, stating that any person found in violation of the rule will face legal penalties.
