A 73-year-old Israeli national, Avi Warshaviak, has died after suddenly falling ill at a hotel in the Garki area of Abuja.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, who shared the report on X, on Sunday, the incident occurred on Saturday at the Corinthia Villa Hotel, where Warshaviak was staying with his wife.
Sources said the deceased developed a medical emergency around 9:51 a.m. and was rushed to Asokoro General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead shortly after arrival.

The hotel’s Chief Security Officer, Okorie Emmanuel, reported the case to the Garki Divisional Police Headquarters at about 11:23 a.m.
Police officers visited both the hotel and the hospital, documented the incident, and transferred the body to the hospital mortuary for an autopsy.
Authorities are reportedly working to contact the Israeli Embassy in Nigeria for necessary consular arrangements.
