A delegation of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) has visited some polling stations in Gaborone, capital of Botswana.
The visitation was embarked upon to observe the October 30, 2024 Botswana general elections.
This was revealed via a post shared on the X handle of former President of Nigeria and leader of the AUEOM, Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday.
He wrote: “Out early on Election Day in Botswana, we, as members of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) visited some polling stations in Gaborone, the nation’s capital city.
“The October 30, 2024 general elections is the 13th since Botswana became independent in 1965.
“We wish Batswana a successful outing as they seek to further consolidate the nation’s vibrant democracy.”
