Kumuyi invited to attend Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration

Date:

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), Pastor William Kumuyi, has received an invitation to attend the inauguration of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

The renowned clergyman is set to participate in the historic event and engage in various significant activities afterward.

Kumuyi will join a distinguished group of global leaders in Washington, D.C. on January 20, 2025, to witness Trump’s second and final swearing-in ceremony as president.

“President Trump’s stand for the gospel is not without recognition, not just by American Christians, but all Christians globally.

“During his first term in office, President Trump hosted the first ever meeting of foreign ministers focused solely on international religious freedom and, in his campaign, he promised to support Christian values and priorities.”

While in the U.S., Pastor Kumuyi is scheduled to meet with members of Congress, engage with American church leaders, and interact with key media figures.

“This moment in history reminds us that faith transcends borders and unites believers worldwide,” Kumuyi said.

“As we gather in Washington, D.C., the global church stands together in prayer and purpose, advocating for faith-based dialogue to shape policies that uphold religious liberty and foster the growth of Christianity worldwide.”

The cleric, who is currently in the U.S. with his wife, Esther, for the event, emphasized during a January address to his church’s global audience the importance of shifting mindsets and adopting changes that will further advance the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“We cannot continue to do things in the same way and expect better results. We need to interact with the gatekeepers to further spread the gospel of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.”
