There was celebration at Polling Unit 027, Ward C1, College Road, Ifako-Ijaiye, as the incumbent Chairman and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Usman Hamzat, emerged victorious in today’s local government election.
Hamzat was declared winner of the unit by the Presiding Officer, Kareem Aderonke after securing 335 votes out 336 valid votes cast with 848 registered voters.

His counterparts, Adedayo Ashade of the Labour Party (LP) had one vote and Michael Oloyede of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) scored zero vote respectively.
Voting ended at 3:23pm while counting and sorting ended at 5:42pm.
