A fatal accident occurred late Thursday night on the Third Mainland Bridge, claiming one life, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
In a statement released via the agency’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, LASTMA reported that the crash involved a loaded mini truck that apparently lost control near the UNILAG Waterfront, heading inward Adekunle.
The impact of the lone-vehicle crash was described as severe, resulting in the death of one individual. The identity of the deceased has not yet been made public.
Emergency traffic officers were quickly dispatched to the scene to manage congestion and ensure the safe movement of vehicles along the busy route.

“A lone accident has occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge, near Unilag Waterfront, inward Adekunle, involving a loaded mini truck.
“Unfortunately, one casualty has been reported.
“Efforts are currently underway to recover the situation, while Officers are on the ground managing traffic to minimise disruptions”, the statement read.
