Florence Eshalomi, the Nigerian-British politician and current Member of Parliament (MP) for Vauxhall and Camberwell Green, has been appointed the United Kingdom’s Trade Envoy to Nigeria.

Eshalomi, who confirmed the news via a post on X on Wednesday, expressed her excitement about the opportunity to enhance the economic ties between the UK and Nigeria.

In her statement, Eshalomi said, “It is an honour to have been appointed as the United Kingdom’s Trade Envoy to Nigeria. I’m looking forward to building on my close ties with Nigeria to promote a strong and flourishing economic relationship between our two great nations.”

She also highlighted her enthusiasm for exploring shared growth opportunities and strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
