A factional leader of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Atiku Abubakar Isah, has publicly withdrawn the allegations he previously made against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.
He acknowledged that the accusations were unfounded.
In an earlier viral video, Atiku had accused Seyi Tinubu and the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Ayodele Olawande, of inviting him to Lagos with an offer of ₦100 million in exchange for his support of President Tinubu.

He further claimed that his refusal of the offer led to his alleged abduction on April 15, 2025.

However, in a Facebook post released on Wednesday, Atiku reversed his stance and issued an apology to Seyi Tinubu, admitting that the narrative he shared was untrue.
He said he had been misled by Ladoja Olusola, whom he accused of deliberately deceiving him in a bid to seize leadership of the student association.
He wrote, “It has become imperative to note that the offer of N100,000,000, which was alleged was made to me to support President Tinubu, was clearly untrue as Ladoja Olusola, who was desperate to get me out of my legitimate position as the duly elected President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), fed me the lies and half truths for the sole purpose of achieving his selfish agenda of taking over the reigns of the student body through the back doors.

“It was also Ladoja Olusola, who warned me that Mr Seyi Tinubu could order my killing and thereafter instruct the Inspector General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, to bury the matter.”
Atiku also distanced himself from an earlier accusation that Seyi Tinubu had led a group of thugs to disrupt his inauguration ceremony, clarifying that Seyi was never present at the event.
